'They Loved What They Found' Crafts Council and Liberty Commission

I am very excited to tell you I have been commissioned by the Craft Council and Liberty to create a installation at the Liberty store in London after proposing my concept to them earlier this week. The image above shows test pieces i created that formed part of my proposal.
The installation, which is called 'They loved what they found' will make up part of Liberty's Stationary Room and will be constructed entirely from paper. The work will be fully installed and ready to view by the 10th of March.

NOISELAB installation complete!

Here are a few images of a piece i created for arts charity Noise Festival, at the manchester pop-up shop, NOISELAB. The window installation was made from a series of large scale drawings, which were then cut out into seperate components, suspended and pieced together.
I havnt thought of a name for the piece yet, but i am considering 'Big Bertha' as a homage to the 80's childrens animation.

Photography by Richard Sweeney

'Inspired by photography from the Hubble space telescope, Andy Singleton attempts to explore the scale, intricacy and beauty of our universe. Choosing the medium of large scale paper cuttings, he hopes to inspire the same sense of awe that we feel when we look into the deepest regions of space. '

This is the completed hand cut paper installation piece, 'Dust Clouds in the Eagle Nebula' currently being exhibited at the Bowery gallery, Headingly, Leeds.
